Ed Sheeran’s love song, Photograph, speaks of a love that is frozen in time as it has been captured in a photograph. Yet, carrying the photograph with you in a necklace or your jeans pocket is only a very pale reflection of the reality of having the loved person alongside you.

Not having the complete Christian vision is similar to only having a photograph. It creates a longing, while totally missing out on the fullness of love that only the real person can provide.
